Journey to Better Reading resources are designed to help teachers, interventionists, and families translate the science of reading into clear, effective instruction. With more than thirty years of experience as a literacy specialist and instructional coach, and current doctoral research in literacy, I create materials that are grounded in research and built for real classrooms.

Each resource is intentionally designed to support:

• structured literacy and evidence-based reading instruction

• phonemic awareness, phonics, orthographic mapping, morphology, fluency, and comprehension

• students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties

• classroom teachers, reading specialists, tutors, and homeschool educators

You will find tools that are practical, easy to implement, and aligned with how the brain learns to read. Many resources are low-prep, flexible across grade levels, and designed to integrate seamlessly into existing instruction.

New resources are added regularly as I continue to refine materials based on research, classroom experience, and educator feedback. My goal is to provide instruction that is clear, purposeful, and effective—so every reader can build confidence and success.
